McGregor has taken some shots at Cormier on social media recently, this after ‘DC’ labelled some of his posts as being “a cry for help”. He also criticized Cormier for suggesting Dustin Poirier was checking his kicks in their trilogy fight at UFC 264.

Now, on Cormier’s show with former NFL player, Ryan Clark, he blasted McGregor for continuing to take shots at him despite being retired.

“It’s much easier for me, because I work at ESPN,” Cormier said about McGregor on his video podcast, DC and RC (via MMAFighting). “We have a department that does that, that can get every one of the kicks that Conor did get checked.

“So McGregor, listen to me bud. Stop worrying about me. Don’t worry about Daniel Cormier. Don’t worry about the things that I’m saying,” Cormier continued. “Don’t worry about how I’m dressing and how I’m looking. Don’t do that. Worry about the dudes that keep beating your ass every time you go into the Octagon. I’m not the guy you’ve got to worry about fighting. I’m done. I’m retired. I’m living my best life. You need to worry about trying to beat the guys that you fight against. Get off the internet. I don’t hate this dude, but McGregor, fall back.”

Conor McGregor, of course, is on a two-fight losing streak after dropping back-to-back fights with Dustin Poirier. In July, they had their highly-anticipated trilogy, and unfortunately, the Irishman broke his leg. In January, he suffered a second-round KO loss at the hands of Poirier.

Given he has lost back-to-back fights, as Cormier pointed out, McGregor needs to focus on potential opponents and getting back to the top of the lightweight division and be a UFC champ again.
