Dana White has no plans to hold another UFC event outdoors: “I don’t want to ever be f***ing outside ever again”

Don’t hold your breath for another outdoor UFC show following the historic White House event.
UFC Freedom 250 took place this past Sunday and while things ultimately worked out, UFC CEO Dana White was stressing about the logistics all the way until the card began. The event endured a slight rain delay, but the weather didn’t negatively impact the show otherwise, which delivered a knockout in every fight.
When asked during the UFC Freedom 250 post-fight press conference if there will be another outdoor UFC event in the future, White gave an emphatic answer (via MMAJunkie).
“No sir,” White said. “I don’t ever want to be f*cking outside ever again. There’s just too much leading up to the fight you have to sweat. Unless you’re in like Abu Dhabi when we did it before – I could be the weather man in Abu Dhabi, and I’d be right all the time. But I have a question, everybody up here, all the guys, what was it like fighting outside? Did you feel like it affected you in any way, positively or negatively?”
White is known for wanting to be in control of each aspect of UFC shows, which he why he plans on sticking to venues with a roof.
“When you’re doing events like we do, there’s enough things that you have to worry about,” White said. “What I always try to do is create the best experience possible for the fans, and if we have to worry about the weather and all the things that come along with being outside, I don’t like it.”
Prior to UFC Freedom 250, White told reporters that athletes also have extra nuisances to deal with during outdoor events. White mentioned the weather and bugs being potential negative factors.
