Former Bellator and ONE champion Ben Askren will make his highly anticipated octagon debut at next month’s UFC 235 event against Robbie Lawler.
Askren was most recently seen in action in November of 2017, where he defeated mixed martial arts legend Shinya Aoki via first-round TKO under the ONE Championship banner.
Despite having a high profile fight against former welterweight title holder Robbie Lawler on the main card of UFC 235, the promotion has yet to update their official website with a proper picture of Ben Askren.
“Funky”, who is well known for his ability to roast other fighters on social media, took to Twitter earlier today where he called out the UFC for their lack of promotion.
Shortly after the UFC hilariously responded to Ben Askren with following tweet and photo.
Always a good sport, Ben Askren responded to the UFC’s “update” with the following.
In addition to Ben Askren vs. Robbie Lawler, UFC 235 also features two title fights.
In the main event of the March 2 pay-per-view event, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will put his title on the line against surging division contender Anthony Smith.
