Arman Tsarukyan thinks Max Holloway is cooked following UFC 326 loss: “He’s not Max anymore”

Arman Tsarukyan believes Max Holloway is simply looking to cash out for the remainder of his pro MMA career.
Holloway was last seen in action in the main event of UFC 326. He put the BMF Championship at stake against Charles Oliveira. While fans expected a competitive war, Oliveira ultimately turned in a one-sided grappling lesson on his way to a unanimous decision victory.
During an appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Tsarukyan shared his belief that Holloway is a shell of what he once was (via MMAFighting).
“Max is done already,” Tsarukyan said. “He’s just going to make money and then retire. He’s not that Max anymore. He was so bad. Last fight he looked so bad, it’s crazy. I was surprised. How you cannot wrestle? Zero wrestling. You’ve been in this sport for 20 years and you cannot even defend a takedown from Charles Olivera. Charles Olivera has no takedowns. He’s good at jiu-jitsu, but wrestling? I’ve never seen him wrestle very well. But he took him down like — it was like a masterclass in wrestling from Charles. I thought he went to Dagestan for 2-3 years and then come back.”
Rumors have surfaced claiming Holloway could renew his rivalry with Conor McGregor in July. While that bout hasn’t been confirmed, Tsarukyan thinks it would make sense. He went as far as to stay it would be a good stylistic matchup for McGregor.
“Blessed” has gone 1-2 in his last three outings. Prior to the loss to Oliveira, Holloway scored a unanimous decision victory over Dustin Poirier. At the time, Holloway rebounded from a knockout loss to Ilia Topuria. Time will tell if Holloway still has some vintage showings left in him.
