This Saturday, the UFC will make its anticipated return to Sydney, Australia with UFC Fight Night 121. This exciting UFC Sydney event has been rocked, rattled and reassembled by injuries, USADA violations, controversy and more, and yet somehow, it still stands out as a card worth watching.
In the main event, we’ll see rising Polish heavyweight Marcin Tybura take on the biggest test of his career in former champion Fabricio Werdum, who stepped in on short notice to replace Mark Hunt. In the co-main event, meanwhile, Australia’s Bec Rawlings will take on last-minute replacement Jessy Rose-Clark, the stand-in for injured Scotswoman Joanne Calderwood.
Elsewhere on the main card, Australian stars Jake Matthews and Dan Kelly take on Bojan Velickovic and Elias Theodorou respectively. New York’s Belal Muhammad will also appear on the card, taking on Tim Means, who replaces the suspended Jesse Taylor, while rising Australian Alexander Volkanovski takes on a whopping third scheduled opponent in New Zealand’s Shane Young.
