The Octagon returns to Miami for tonight’s UFC 327 event, a 12-bout fight card headliner by Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg.

Prochazka (32-5-1 MMA) will be looking to once again be crowned the UFC light heavyweight champion when he collides with Ulberg for the promotion’s vacant 205lbs title this evening in Florida. The Czech standout has won two fights in a row, scoring stoppage wins over Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr. in his most recent Octagon appearances.

Meanwhile, Carlos Ulberg (13-1 MMA) will enter his first career title fight on a nine-fight winning streak, his most recent victory being a first-round knockout over Dominick Reyes this past September (see that here). Prior to that triumph, ‘Black Jag’ was coming off back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Jan Blachowicz and Volkan Oezdemir.

UFC 327 is co-headlined by a key light heavyweight matchup between Paulo Costa and Azamat Murzakanov.

Costa (15-4 MMA) most recently competed this past July at UFC 318 in New Orleans, where he earned a unanimous decision win over Roman Kopylov. Prior to that victory, ‘The Eraser’ had suffered back-to-back decision losses to Sean Strickland and Robert Whittaker respectively.

Meanwhile, Azamat Murzakanov (16-0 MMA) will look to keep his perfect record in check when he takes to the Octagon this evening in Miami.  ‘The Professional’ most recently competed at October’s UFC 321 event, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Aleksandar Rakic. Prior to that, the Russian standout had finished Brendson Ribeiro in the opening round at UFC 316.

Also featured on tonight’s UFC 327 main card lineup is a light heavyweight contest featuring Dominick Reyes taking on Johnny Walker.

Reyes (15-5 MMA) will enter the bout looking to rebound, this after suffering a knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg in his most recent Octagon appearance this past September in Perth. Prior to that setback, ‘The Devastator’ had reeled off three straight victories, scoring stoppage wins over Dustin Jacoby, Anthony Smith and Nikita Krylov.

Meanwhile, Johnny Walker (22-9) was last seen in action this past August in Shanghai, where he earned a second-round TKO victory over Zhang Mingyang. That win was preceded by back-to-back knockout losses against Volkan Oezdemir and Magomed Ankalaev.
