Marvin Vettori will no longer be fighting Brendan Allen. Vettori and Allen were set to headline UFC Vegas 90 on April 6 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. However, less than a month out from the fight, it was revealed the Italian is out of the bout. The news was first reported by David Van Auken.

The bout was Francis Ngannou’s second in the ring, previously facing Tyson Fury last October. Despite entering the fight a massive underdog, the former UFC heavyweight champion dropped, and nearly defeated ‘The Gpysy King’. Still, Fury escaped with a split-decision win.

Gilbert Melendez and former Bellator president Scott Coker have teamed up to create a new MMA promotion. Coker stepped away from MMA after the Bellator and PFL merger, but he is now returning to the game. Former Strikeforce lightweight champion Melendez is starting his own MMA promotion in California and has brought along Coker to help him out. No fights have been announced for the event yet, but it is expected that the card will see both veterans and prospects on it.
