Marvin Vettori out of UFC Vegas 90 main event against Brendan Allen
Marvin Vettori will no longer be fighting Brendan Allen.
Vettori and Allen were set to headline UFC Vegas 90 on April 6 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. However, less than a month out from the fight, it was revealed the Italian is out of the bout. The news was first reported by David Van Auken.
Following Van Auken’s report, Brendan Allen took to Instagram to confirm the news while calling out several ranked middleweights.

“I was ready for everything, so now I am the #5 @ufc middleweight in the world! So who above me is trying to fight soon? @killagorillamma (Jared Cannonier) @robwhittakermma (Robert Whittaker) Sean (Strickland) @stylebender (Israel Adesanya),” Allen wrote.
Marvin Vettori (19-7-1) is coming off a decision loss to Jared Cannonier last June after he scored a decision win over Roman Dolidze. The Italian is 2-2 in his last four as he has alternated wins and losses, as he also beat Paulo Costa by decision while also losing to Robert Whittaker. In his career, Vettori has notable wins over Jack Hermansson, Kevin Holland, and Andrew Sanchez among others.
Brendan Allen (23-5) is on a six-fight winning streak and coming off a submission win over Paul Craig. Before that, Allen had beaten Bruno Silva, Andre Muniz, Krzysztof Jotko, Jacob Malkoun and Sam Alvey. Allen is 11-2 in the UFC with his losses coming to Chris Curtis and Sean Strickland while holding notable wins over Kevin Holland, and Tom Breese.
