The man known to fans as ‘Venom’ finally debuted in the UFC on Saturday night against Kevin Holland. Pre-fight, the bout was viewed as an interesting battle between dynamic strikers. Instead, Micheal Page wound up largely dominating ‘Trailblazer’, earning a unanimous decision victory. The win impressed many and landed the new signee in the welterweight rankings.

Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor believes that he’ll fight some YouTubers one day. ‘The Notorious’ is currently on the sidelines, awaiting his next UFC fight. Conor McGregor famously hasn’t competed in over two years, last facing Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Unfortunately for the Irishman, he broke his leg with seconds left in the first round, and he was forced out of action.

PFL heavyweight Francis Ngannou isn’t done with professional boxing despite losing to Anthony Joshua. ‘The Predator’ returned to boxing last Friday night, in Saudi Arabia against ‘AJ’. The bout was Francis Ngannou’s second in the ring, previously facing Tyson Fury last October. Despite entering the fight a massive underdog, the former UFC heavyweight champion dropped, and nearly defeated ‘The Gpysy King’. Still, Fury escaped with a split-decision win.

Gilbert Melendez and former Bellator president Scott Coker have teamed up to create a new MMA promotion. Coker stepped away from MMA after the Bellator and PFL merger, but he is now returning to the game. Former Strikeforce lightweight champion Melendez is starting his own MMA promotion in California and has brought along Coker to help him out. No fights have been announced for the event yet, but it is expected that the card will see both veterans and prospects on it.

It was announced a week ago today that Jake Paul would face former world champion Mike Tyson in a boxing match on Saturday, July 20th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which will be streamed live on Netflix.

The former two-time PFL tournament winner previously left Donn Davis‘ promotion to sign with the UFC earlier this year.
