While there was much speculation as to whether or not the minor infraction would interfere with his probation from his April 2015 hit and run incident, it appears as though Jones’ probation has not been violated.

As of now, all reports are indicating that Nate Diaz will rematch Conor McGregor in a non-title welterweight bout. Ariel Helwani said earlier this week, “And make no mistake about it, the reason that this fight is happening at 170-pounds is because, to be frank, Conor Mcgregor is a bit of a wild man. “He wants, he is obsessed with the idea that he lost to Nate Diaz at 170-pounds. He feels like he should have won and he wants the same circumstances, same rules, same stipulations. He wants to do it again and he wants to prove that he is the better man.”

After Williams made headlines for alleged battery in late February, he was arrested about two weeks later for alleged aggravated assault, terroristic threats and false imprisonment, as well as facing drugs and weapons charges. The arrest was a result due to an investigation regarding Williams and his “associates” kidnapping one of his own bodyguards after not participating “in criminal activity as directed by Williams,” according to CNN.

Earlier this week top ranked UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov took to Twitter to inform EA Sports that they got his post-fight celebration wrong in EA Sports UFC 2, and that the company needed to change his celebration as a sign of respect to himself and his fans. Nurmagomedov posted a photo on Instagram showing a message which he received from the EA Sports UFC team, apologizing for the error, promising to fix it.

Tuesday was a historic day for sports. New York was the last state in the U.S. to have MMA outlawed, and the process to have that changed started on Tuesday when a bill to change the laws and regulate MMA in New York passed with a 113-25 vote. The bill now awaits the governer’s signature to be passed into law.
