Jon Jones sentenced for several traffic violations in Albuquerque

By bjpenndotcom - March 23, 2016

UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones had a minor run in with the law back in January when he was pulled over for driving without a license, registration, or insurance.

While there was much speculation as to whether or not the minor infraction would interfere with his probation from his April 2015 hit and run incident, it appears as though Jones’ probation has not been violated.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, Jones appeared in court on Wednesday, where he plead no-contest and received a 90 day deferral after proving that the vehicle he was driving was insured, registered, and his license was eligible.

At the end of Jones’ 90-day deferral, the citations received for the infractions will be wiped from his record.

Jones is currently gearing up to fight Daniel Cormier in a highly anticipated rematch for the UFC light heavyweight title on April 23rd in the main event of UFC 197.
