Now, with Conor McGregor currently being the biggest star in MMA, Lesnar was asked about his opinion on McGregor ahead of his return to the UFC at UFC 200.

Earlier this month, Michael Bisping shocked the world as he knocked out Luke Rockhold to win the UFC middleweight championship on just 2 weeks notice. Following the bout, Bisping was immediately flooded with questions regarding who his first title defense would be against. To make things more interesting, on the UFC 199 card Dan Henderson also knocked out Hector Lombard in devastating fashion. Given Bisping’s win over Rockhold, and Henderson’s win over Lombard, could the stage be set for Bisping to avenge his UFC 100 loss to Henderson?

Sage Northcutt is currently coming off the first loss of his professional career at the hands of Bryan Barberena earlier this year. Northcutt is also currently in the process of preparing for his UFC 200 fight against Enrique Marin on July 9th. Ahead of his UFC 200 fight against Marin, Northcutt went to train with Muay Thai champion Ilya Grad at Gracie Barra for some sparring. What transpired was considered “a disaster” by Grad due to the actions of Northcutt’s father.

During the UFC 199 broadcast, it was revealed that Brock Lesnar would be returning to the Octagon at UFC 200 to fight an opponent who had yet to be named. In the following days, it was revealed that Lesnar would be fighting none other than fan-favorite heavyweight Mark Hunt. Prior to the announcement of him fighting on the card, Lesnar actually sent UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who headlines the event, an early Christmas present.

Prior to Jon Jones’ UFC 197 interim light heavyweight title fight with Ovince Saint Preux, it had been over a year since Jones was in the Octagon. The fight against OSP was a rather lackluster one, however Jones did win in convincing fashion. It’s been nearly 3 years since former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre was in the Octagon. In St-Pierre’s last fight, he won a controversial split decision over Johny Hendricks. Following the bout, St-Pierre ultimately retired from MMA. Since then, there has been much speculation as to whether or not GSP would return to the Octagon. While initial rumors put GSP’s return at UFC 200, we now know that St-Pierre will not be returning at the historic event. In the wake of Michael Bisping winning the middleweight championship at UFC 199 earlier this month, Tristar gym head coach Firas Zahabi is all for seeing GSP return and fight Michael Bisping.

Edgar’s coach Mark Henry startled a lot of fight fans with his message he posted on Instagram on Monday. MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko appeared on Monday’s episode of “The MMA Hour” and spoke with Ariel Helwani on his future fighting. Emelianenko has a fight scheduled with Fabio Maldonado at EFN 50 this Friday. The fight takes place in St. Petersburg, Russia and will air on UFC Fight Pass, which is the reason the UFC has unveiled some promotional videos of Emelianenko.

Conor McGregor is busy working on his technique ahead of his rematch with Nate Diaz set for UFC 202. McGregor has been “obsessed” with getting another crack at Diaz and has brought in Brazilian jiu-jitsu stud Dillon Danis to help prepare for his rematch. Danis is a black belt under Marcelo Garcia and is decorated in competitive BJJ, having won the world championships and Abu Dhabi World Pro Champion in the brown belt division.

When the first reports surfaced that a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor was in the works, many people thought it was a joke. Although McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh says that the bout between the two superstars from different sports is put on hold with McGregor set to rematch Nate Diaz at UFC 202, he believes the fight with Mayweather will take place at some point.

Lesnar signed a contract with the UFC to fight at UFC 200 and has bypassed three of four months of random drug testing done by the U.S. Anit-Doping Association (USADA) due to an exemption from the UFC and a lot of people are raising an eyebrow on the situation.
