During the course of the presser, McGregor explained that a win for him on August 20th likely sets up a trilogy fight between the pair given that Diaz won the pair’s first meeting at UFC 196.

Silva is stepping in for Jon Jones, who was pulled from the card for a potential USADA anti-doping violation. The fight, which will take place on the main card, will not be a title fight due to Silva stepping in on such short notice. Ahead of the fight, Cormier has opened as a massive favorite against one of the greatest fighters of all time.

In the co-main event of UFC FN 90, Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis squared off in a pivotal heavyweight matchup. Both men come out aggressive and exchange punches before clinching up. Nelson gets the body lock and presses Lewis against the cage. Big John separates them and Lewis lands a head kick and a right hand that land clean. Nelson responds with a trip and secures the takedown, landing in Lewis’ half-guard. Lewis makes it to his feet and lands a major knee to the body followed by a knee to the head. Nelson looks for another takedown and eats another big shot. Nelson looking a bit wobbled as he pushes Lewis against the cage. Big John separates them as Lewis lands bombs on Nelson. Nelson eats them in true ‘Big Country’ fashion and secures a takedown.

Heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt have been moved up from the co-main event to headline UFC 200 with Jon Jones being pulled from the UFC light heavyweight championship versus Daniel Cormier. Lesnar appeared for an open workout on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada ahead of UFC 200 and was asked about Jones’ potential anti-doping violation that got him removed from the historic event taking place on Saturday.

With the UFC working hard to find UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier a fight for UFC 200 after Jon Jones was pulled from the fight for a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation, Brazilian media outlet Combate is reporting that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will be fighting Cormier on Saturday in a non-title bout at a weight to be determined. Anderson Silva just posted a photo to his Instagram account with the UFC 200 logo. Silva said in his caption written in Portuguese that he was heading to Las Vegas, Nevada.
