After submitting Angela Magana at the TUF 21 Finale, Waterson was forced out of her UFC 194 bout with a knee injury. After news surfaced earlier this week that her opponent for UFC FN: Hamburg, Aisling Daly, was out of the bout with an undisclosed injury, Waterson shared a photo of an X-ray of a broken finger sustained in training.

UFC bantamweight contender Cody Garbrandt is hoping that an impressive victory at next weekend’s UFC 202 event in Las Vegas will earn him a title shot against Dominick Cruz. “He said he’s going to add to my concussion list,” Garbrandt said, referring to a recent Cruz interview with MMAjunkie. “That says to me like he’s going to try to go in there and kill me. He wants to do that, so I’m definitely going to make him eat every one of his words. He’s going to be eating through a straw for a couple of months after we fight.”

The 26-year-old, who became the first American to win two gold medals in Judo at this years Rio Olympics, says she has no interest in joining the sport of MMA at this time.

The goal of the “PFA” is to organize the fighters so that they can collectively bargain their terms and conditions of employment. The “PFA” stated that it would not only be a union of fighters, but it will be governed solely by fighters. This way it is the fighters who will control their own futures.
