Despite enduring a brutal weight cut, during which footage emerged of Cyborg crying while attempting to make weight, the Invicta FC champ won the fight via 1st round TKO, putting on a rather impressive display in her UFC debut. It would be four months until Cyborg returned to the Octagon, where she faced Swedish striking ace Lina Lansberg in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo’. While Jones maintained his innocence throughout the process, it wouldn’t be until November when he was cleared of intentionally taking PEDs, with USADA determining that the failed drug test was the result of a tainted supplement. In early July of 2017, Jones will be eligible to fight again.

With that being said however, the California State Athletic Commission has granted McGregor a boxing license, which theoretically would give him the ability to take a boxing fight in California in order to prove his qualifications to the NSAC, which would then result in him being approved for a boxing license in Nevada.
