It’s been quite some time since we saw The Ultimate Fighter season 13 winner, Tony Ferguson in action. But now he’s cleared to return. Ferguson last fought at UFC 216 in October when he earned the interim UFC lightweight title by defeating “The Mo-Town Phenom” Kevin Lee via third-round submission.

If UFC President Dana White is to believed, the UFC is now worth a whopping $7 billion. Speaking to motivational speaker Tony Robbins, White explained that a big part of this spike in value is due to the promotion’s $1.5 billion deal with ESPN, who will soon begin broadcasting UFC events both on television and through the online streaming service ESPN+.
Police issue arrest warrant for UFC flyweight Andrea Lee's husband Donny Aaron

Last week, reports surfaced that UFC flyweight Andrea Lee had allegedly been assaulted by her husband Donny Aaron — the same man who recently came under fire for refusing to cover up his Nazi tattoos. Since then, Donny Aaron has been charged for his alleged involvement in a May domestic violence case. Police in Shreveport, LA, have issued a warrant for his arrest. Aaron is being charged with one count of domestic battery abuse and one count of false imprisonment.

The polarizing young Irishman was abruptly snuffed by former CFFC champ Ricky Bandejas. Later that same night, Bellator bantamweight champion Darrion Caldwell picked up a big TKO win in a featherweight showdown with streaking UFC veteran Noad Lahat.

Surging UFC welterweight contender Kamaru Usman has been tapped as the official understudy for the UFC 228 main event, in the event that either welterweight champion Tyron Woodley or challenger Darren Till fails to make it to the cage. Speaking on a recent episode of The MMA Hour, Usman divulged that he will not be surprised if his services are needed. While he doesn’t seem to expect much trouble on Woodley’s side, he is doubtful Darren Till will make weight.

Two-time UFC flyweight title challenger Joseph Benavidez feels that, even though he’s currently riding a decision loss to Sergio Pettis, he has a strong claim to the next shot at new UFC flyweight champ Henry Cejudo. If Benavidez is able to win his next fight, a UFC Denver bout with former title challenger Ray Borg, his argument will be even stronger. Benavidez explained why he feels he deserves a fight with Cejudo in a recent interview with MMAjunkie. His main argument is that he is the last man to beat Cejudo, having bested the current champ by split decision in December of 2016.

World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation (WBKFF) has signed several new MMA veterans to its growing roster. The first is former UFC lightweight and welterweight Josh Neer. The second is former UFC, World Series of Fighting, Bellator, and Rizin veteran Melvin Guillard, who has competed in bareknuckle boxing bouts in the past. The promotion has also signed The Ultimate Fighter 26 veteran Christina Marks. The promotion announced these new signings on social media.

According to UFC President Dana White, former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre (26-2 MMA) will not be fighting the winner of October’s highly anticipated Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor lightweight title fight. In a recent interview with “The BBC MMA Show“, the brash UFC boss explained that part of the reason why “GSP” received an immediate middleweight title shot against Michael Bisping at UFC 217 was due to the fact that St-Pierre’s contract promised a title defense should the Canadian prove victorious at Madison Square Garden.
