Actor Sylvester Stallone is not only the actor behind Rocky Balboa, he’s also a minority owner of the UFC. Needless to say, he’s well versed in the world of combat sports, and as it turns out, he’s got a piece of advice for former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ Conor McGregor. Speaking to TMZ, the actor shared some words of wisdom with the Irish fighter after his recent arrest and his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Last Saturday night, in the main event of UFC London, Jorge Masvidal burst into title contention with a stunning knockout of Darren Till. The knockout was so impressive that Ali Abdelaziz, who manages UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman, now wants his fighter to take on Masvidal next instead of Colby Covington. Just spoke to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman's manager Ali Abdelaziz: "We think Jorge Masvidal deserves the next title shot. Not Colby Covington. Colby is a terrible person and doesn't deserve it. Jorge just knocked out Darren Till like that? He should be next."

Conor McGregor returned to Boston two nights ago to cheer on the Boston Bruins. On a previous visit to Boston, McGregor beat Max Holloway by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 26. During his visit to ‘Beantown’, McGregor and Holloway got into it on Twitter discussing their fight back in 2013. And now, the current featherweight champion has called on McGregor to fight him at International Fight Week in July.

This post-violence was sparked when Edwards began talking trash during one of Masvidal’s post fight interviews. Masvidal, evidently not happy with this trash talk, approached Edwards and clobbered him with a few punches.

On Saturday night, on the main card of UFC London, Dominick Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir collided in a crucial light heavyweight contender bout. After three closely contested rounds of action, Dominick Reyes was named the winner by split decision. Yet not everybody agreed with the judges’ verdict. Volkan Oezdemir himself, unsurprisingly, feels they made an error.

Saturday night’s UFC London card was topped by a pair of key welterweight contender bouts. In the main event, Englishman Darren Till was taking on Jorge Masvidal who was returning after over 400 days away from the cage. Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Englishman Leon Edwards was taking on longtime Icelandic contender Gunnar Nelson. Ultimately, Masvidal knocked out Till out cold in the second round while Edwards beat Nelson by split-decision.

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is currently embroiled in some unfortunate personal struggles, as he was recently hit with a restraining order from his wife. Nonetheless, Ferguson says he is in good spirits, and that along with the UFC and his management, he is working on finding the help he needs.

Conor McGregor is currently in Boston, where he attended a Boston Bruins game. Bruins home ice, to remind, sits inside TD Garden — the very same arena that played host to McGregor’s 2013 victory over Max Holloway. Speaking on Twitter late on Saturday night, Conor McGregor reflected on his Boston beating of Max Holloway, who now owns the UFC featherweight title.

Shortly after the UFC London card wrapped up, co-main event winner Leon Edwards interrupted a Jorge Masvidal interview with a bit of trash talk. Masvidal evidently didn’t appreciate what he was hearing, and approached Edwards, challenging the Brit to say it to his face. Seconds later, the punches were flying, as Masvidal uncorked a blistering, bare knuckle combination on his rival (see it here).

Undefeated UFC welterweight Ben Askren jumped on a plane to London with plans of arranging a future fight with event headliner Darren Till. The rivals did have a slight encounter the day of UFC London weigh-ins, but it appears that an actual fight inside of the octagon will have to wait.

The fan favorite, Bisping, was in attendance for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 147 event and received a massive cheer from the audience after a video was played showcasing highlights from his brilliant UFC Career.
