Muhammad Mokaev calls out UFC to deliver promised reunion after 42-second win

Former UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev could be on his way back to the Octagon after an impressive run outside of the promotion.
At a time when the UFC’s flyweight division is on fire, one of the division’s former stars is doing everything he can to return to the promotion. Muhammad Mokaev, who parted ways with the UFC after a win over Manel Kape at UFC 304, remains unbeaten in his Mixed Martial Arts career and has won four-straight fights since his UFC finale.
Mokaev is undoubtedly one of the best fighters, regardless of division, outside of the UFC roster. At 25-years-old, he’s still approaching his athletic prime and could potentially challenge for a major flyweight title soon.
After a nasty split from the UFC, Mokaev has repeatedly called for the two sides to make amends and to discuss a reunion. According to Mokaev, one of the top UFC executives promised him a second chance, and wants them to make good on that promise.
Muhammad Mokaev calls out Hunter Campbell to make good on ‘promise to get back’
In a recent tweet, Mokaev called for UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell to make good on an alleged promise to enter contract talks for a reunion.
“Longest active fight win streak in the MMA today! 23-0 amateur17-0 professional. The best flyweight in the world,” Mokaev said.
“Dana, Hunter & Mick. You know I’m the real deal. Hunter you promised me to get back in negotiations after getting a couple finishes. I have 4 finishes out of 5 fights since I got cut. I have been working hard!
“I deserve to fight the best!”
During his short-lived UFC tenure, Mokaev defeated the likes of Charles Johnson, Tim Elliott, and Alex Perez. He recently called out reigning UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van and claimed he’d retire from MMA if he lost to him inside the Octagon.
