Mike Perry “used BKFC”, per ex-BKFC title challenger: ‘Platinum’ “was nobody before BKFC”

Mike Perry is undoubtedly the biggest name in the world of gloveless combat but a former title challenger in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship had some choice wording about ‘Platinum’ using the promotion for his own gain.  The combatant in question is Doug Coltrane and the former BKFC middleweight title contender clashes with ex-UFC vet Maki Pitolo at BKFC Honolulu in the headlining bout on April 11th.

As he was discussing a former BKFC foe of his in Blake LaCaze preparing to fight for Perry’s promotion Dirty Boxing Championship later this week, Coltrane said [via Bare Knuckle Bowker],

“To see Mike Perry, actually, he still; to me, I feel like, he used BKFC because I mean, if you think about it, Mike Perry really was nobody before BKFC. Yeah, he fought in the UFC, but he wasn’t really like a super big name like that until he went to BKFC. Now he’s a big name and since then he’s been using it to get big fights like the Jake Paul fight which is; props to him.”

“Props to him. But, when he comes to BKFC, he’s fighting debut guys. So, I’d like to see him [Mike Perry] and [Lorenzo] Hunt. I think that would be a good one. I’d still like to see him and [David] Mundell. I mean, I’d still like to get in there with [Perry].”

Mike Perry doesn’t rule out UFC comeback as he prepares for Nate Diaz MVP MMA fight on Netflix

Mike Perry is readying for a massive clash with Nate Diaz next month under Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions banner but a UFC comeback is not completely ruled out by ‘Platinum’ Perry. The King of Violence has become the figurehead of BKFC as mentioned and will make his return to mixed martial arts competition against Stockton’s finest with Perry vs. Diaz transpiring on May 16th in California as part of the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card.

During a conversation recently with Jon Anik, a return to the UFC someday was not given the kibosh by the multi-combat sport athlete, as Perry stated [via MMA Mania],

“I would definitely say never say never. I’ve seen things, but I don’t want to talk too soon because I have to focus on the task at hand. I think I just demolish this… and you see the best ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, in the ring, Octagon , sorry, Hexagon. MVP puts on a good show, and I’m excited to showcase what I could when I do go back.”
