Justin Gaethje has sent a violent warning to Paddy Pimblett.

Gaethje is set to face Pimblett for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324 on Saturday in Las Vegas, in an intriguing bout. Although Gaethje is the underdog, he has confidence that he won’t just win, but will make a statement.

Gaethje believes he has the advantage the longer the fight goes. He also expects his damage to be too much for Pimbett, which will lead to a violent stoppage.

“You don’t know what you don’t know. He hasn’t been there,” Gaethje said at UFC 324 media day. “I’ve been scheduled at least 20 times for five-round fights, so it’s definitely different training, different mindset, different tactics when you’re fighting.

“I want to take him to the fourth and fifth rounds. I want to do the same thing, turn his face into minced meat. I’ve done it before, done it to higher-caliber fighters, but this guy has a lot of momentum right now, a lot of confidence, and those are some of the most dangerous variables that I will be facing when I step in there.”

Gaethje is no stranger to inflicting a ton of damage, and he expects that to be the case against Pimblett on Saturday at UFC 324.

However, Pimblett has been oozing confidence in the lead-up to the fight and has said he wants to put a beatdown on Gaethje. Yet, Gaethje makes it clear that that won’t happen and warns Pimblett of being too confident.

“He’d be crazy to think and not know that I’m one of the most dangerous guys he’s ever fought. I’ve been scheduled for a five-round fight at least 20 times in my career. Certainly not the same for him. It’s a different ball game,” Gaethje added.

Gaethje enters the bout with a record of 26-5 and is coming off a decision win over Rafael Fiziev.
