Paddy Pimblett shares bold prediction for UFC 324 interim title fight against Justin Gaethje

Paddy Pimblett expects to make a statement against Justin Gaethje at UFC 324.
Pimblett is set to headline UFC 324 on Saturday for the interim lightweight title. It’s an intriguing fight, and heading into the bout, ‘The Baddy’ has full confidence he will be able to not just beat Gaethje but will finish him.
“I see holes in his game. If I end up on the ground with him, if I end up on top with him, I don’t see it lasting very long,” Pimblett said on UFC 324 Countdown. “Whenever we have seen him on the floor with elite grapplers, he gets submitted. If I get on top of him, I could submit him.
“But, I could also see myself TKO’ing him with ground and pound, the ref having to pull me off just like Michael Chandler because his face is a bloody mess. I love elbowing people in the face, I love cutting people’s faces open and having them look like the Elephant Man after the fight.”
It’s a bold prediction for Pimblett as Gaethje is durable. But ‘The Baddy’ has confidence he will make quick work of the American.

Although Pimblett believes he will finish Gaethje, he knows ‘The Highlight’ is a tough out. However, he believes he’s put in too much work to not become a world champion after Saturday.
“After the fight, we shake hands. But, while we are in the cage, I’m trying to inflict as much damage on your face as I possibly can. The only way I see myself getting beaten is a big right hand or a left hook catching me clean.
“But, Scousers don’t get knocked out, lads, so that’s not going to be happening, is it. I’ve been speaking as a world champion into a exsitence since I was 15. So there’s no way it’s not happening. I’m bringing that belt back to Liverpool. Whether I have to go halfway to Hell and halfway to death to take it home with me, I will.”
Pimblett enters the fight with a record of 23-3.
