MMA veteran Jorge Masvidal has revealed the opponent that would be most appealing to him for a potential UFC return.

For the longest time now, Jorge Masvidal has been heavily teasing the idea of a comeback to active competition in mixed martial arts. Some have suggested that it isn’t the best idea given how long he has been out of the game, but at this point, you never can truly rule anything out in this crazy sport.

Masvidal has even been discussed as a possible return opponent for Conor McGregor, but as of this writing, nothing has been made official. Jorge has never been shy when it comes to voicing his opinion on MMA and the UFC specifically, and understandably so.

In a recent appearance, Masvidal had the following to say when discussing who he would be most interested in facing off against if he did come back.

Masvidal discusses ideal return opponent

“If they gave me the Leon [Edwards] fight, I’ll get to 170 by tomorrow… I would love it and he’d said he wouldn’t fight me because I had like three or four losses in a row. I think he’s got like four losses in a row and like three by KO so what’s the hold up.”

As we know, Masvidal first created the “three-piece and a soda” saying after a backstage brawl with Edwards at UFC London many years ago. The two were never able to settle their differences inside the Octagon, but who knows, perhaps this fight now makes all the sense in the world given where both men are at in their respective careers.
