Israel Adesanya’s long-time coach Eugene Bareman has given his thoughts on Stylebender’s future in mixed martial arts.

As we know, Israel Adesanya is on a four-fight losing streak right now and has lost four of his last five in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. His most recent defeat came at the hands of Joe Pyfer, and it once again came via finish, which is becoming a regular occurrence for the former UFC middleweight champion.

As you can imagine, there have been a lot of calls for Adesanya, mainly so he can avoid an even more dramatic losing streak as he enters the latter phase of his active career.

One man who knows Adesanya better than most is his coach Eugene Bareman. In a recent interview, Bareman spoke candidly when discussing what Israel needs to do if he wants to get back in there and win again.

Adesanya’s coach discusses Izzy’s future

“I know where the changes have to be made for Israel and I’m not going to talk about those publicly but you see glimmers, right? You see glimmers of the old Israel,” he told Submission Radio. “So, it’s just about turning those glimmers into longer, sustained bouts of effort.

“He just has to do some soul searching, mate, like you do after every fight. Every fighter after they lose has to tuck themselves away in the forest or in a dark room for 24 hours or whatever they do. They have to figure life out so that’s just what Israel has to do.”

“He has to find it inside him. He has to search deep this time.”
