UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will return to the octagon at next month’s UFC 239 event where he will attempt to defend his title against dangerous knockout artist Thiago Santos.

Despite constant talk of a trilogy bout with bitter rival Daniel Cormier, it appears that ‘Bones’ is not distracted at the dangerous task that lies ahead of him on July 6.

Jon Jones took to Instagram earlier this evening where he showed off his impressive physique just 11 days away from UFC 239.

“You got 11 days to figure out where you’re watching.” Jones captioned the photo.

The current light heavyweight kingpin, Jon Jones recently continued to throw gas on the fire of his rivalry with ‘DC’ by sharing the following comments with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

”I don’t think he has the balls to do it.” Jones said in regards to a third fight with Cormier. “I think he knows what to say to people to appear not afraid of me. But, deep down inside, he knows what’s it like after losing to me twice. Going him. Crying. I just doubt that he’s going to do that to himself again.”

Jon Jones was last seen in action at UFC 235, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Smith. Prior to that, ‘Bones’ had defeated Alexander Gustafsson via third round knockout at UFC 232.

Meanwhile, Thiago Santos (20-6 MMA) will enter the UFC 239 main event with a ton of momentum of his own. Since moving up to the UFC’s light heavyweight ranks, Thiago Santos has gone 3-0 scoring knockout victories over Eryk Anders, Jimi Manuwa and most recently Jan Błachowicz during that time.
