Francis Ngannou opens up on his PFL departure

MMA sensation Francis Ngannou has opened up on what happened with regard to his recent departure from PFL.
As we know, Francis Ngannou will make his mixed martial arts return on the upcoming MVP card on Netflix when he faces off against Philipe Lins. Some felt like he had more to give in PFL, and others thought he may go back to UFC. Alas, neither came to fruition, and the announcement of his exit from PFL came as something of a shock to some who didn’t realise that there were problems brewing.

Ngannou is considered to be one of the greatest power punchers in the history of the sport, but he has also been involved in his fair share of controversies along the way. He’s obviously an exceptional talent, but he has ruffled a few feathers on his way to becoming one of the best heavyweights of his generation.
In a recent interview, Ngannou spoke openly about what happened with regard to his PFL dismissal.
Ngannou discusses PFL exit
“We parted ways in January,” Ngannou said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.” “I wanted to also give them a better way to come up with something because that was their decision to part ways, not mine. But I was a little surprised when they sent me that (announcement). They should have at least told me since I was holding onto this.
“At this point, I’m not here to feel emotional about stuff. I just move on. I found it a little weird that after all this time, they didn’t come back to me to say, ‘OK, now we’re going to announce it.’ They didn’t even tell me. People just sent it to me. I just saw it out there. I wasn’t aware at all. At that point, I had been talking with MVP, with Nakisa (Bidarian) for two or three weeks.”
