Dan Hooker explains why he won’t chase grudge match with Paddy Pimblett

UFC veteran Dan Hooker has explained why he isn’t going to chase a grudge match with rival Paddy Pimblett.
As we know, Dan Hooker and Paddy Pimblett aren’t big fans of one another. In recent weeks, both men have gone below the best when it comes to some of the insults they have been throwing against the wall, leading many to wonder whether or not we will see them face off at some point in the future.

Pimblett is coming off the back of a loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 324, whereas Hooker will battle Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main event of UFC 325 this weekend. If ‘Hangman’ wins, it certainly feels like this is a grudge match that would make a lot of sense to book.
In a recent interview, though, Hooker had a different point of view on this matter.
Hooker discusses possible Pimblett fight
“That’s the dumbest thing you can possibly do,” Hooker said about chasing a fight with Pimblett. “He p—– me off, I p—– him off back. That’s always going to be there but that’s why I had to p— him off back so then I’m not just sitting around and I’m upset about it. He’s gonna take some time off, we’ll see how this fight plays out obviously. I’m not gonna go back and shoot myself in the foot because I’m mad.”
“There’s some big fights,” he said. “There’s obviously the BMF [title fight] and brother, I guarantee you between me getting through this fight and getting my hand raised against BSD [Benoit Saint-Denis], there’s still no one between me and Arman [Tsarukyan] that wants to fight him except me. I feel bad, I like Arman now. He’s won me over as a fan.”
