VIDEO | Conor McGregor tells Joe Rogan: “Don’t ever let that smelly rat put that hat on your head”

Saturday night the world will be watching as former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor returns to battle undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

The brash Irish superstar, McGregor (21-3 MMA), has not stepped foot inside the octagon since defeating Eddie Alvarez via second round knockout at UFC 205 in November of 2016.

“Mystic Mac” returns to fight arguably the toughest challenge of his career in the form of undefeated Russian standout Khabib Nurmagomedov (26-0 MMA).

“The Eagle” captured the UFC’s vacant lightweight title this past April at UFC 223, where he defeated Al Iaquinta via unanimous decision.

The bitter rivals, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, recently squared off at the ceremonial weigh ins at T-Mobile Arena. As expected, things got heated and a brief scuffle ensued.

After things finally got settled, UFC commentator Joe Rogan performed interviews with both fighters for the final time before their UFC 229 showdown. “Mystic Mac” was up first.

“Ladies and gentlemen I am here with Conor McGregor.” said Rogan. “First off Conor, welcome back. What does it feel like to be back and what does this fight mean to you?”

Conor responded:

“Don’t let that smelly rat put that hat on your head Joe,” Conor McGregor responded to Rogan. “The smell of that f*cking thing. Don’t ever let him put that hat on your head. It’s good to be back! UFC fans, it is good to be f*cking back. The king is home!

“Tomorrow night, I’m going to smash your boy guys. I’m going to smash your boy. And I want to say thank you all Irish fans, all of the fans around the world. Because of you guys this fight is happening. Thank you guys and tomorrow night, inshallah, and still!”
