According to Los Angeles Times Sports Reporter, Lance Pugmire, the prices for the Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight have been set.

Pugmire tweeted on Monday, “The @FloydMayweather @TheNotoriousMMA pay per view price will be $89.95 — same as the Pacquiao fight – $10 more for HD.”

Are there any surprises here? Did you think it would have been priced higher or lower than the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight?

richest fight in history

While Mayweather vs. Pacquiao set record numbers and set the bar extremely high as the richest fight in combat sports, time will tell how the crossover match between the biggest superstar from the world of boxing and the biggest star from the world of mixed martial arts ends up selling.

While the match has all the potential in the world to bring in many fans who would only watch boxing or only watch mixed martial arts, there are also some who are disregarding the fight claiming it as a mismatch.

Floyd Mayweather holds a perfect 49-0 record in professional boxing while Conor McGregor will step into the ring come fight night with a 0-0 professional boxing record. Although holding a 21-3 professional mixed martial arts record, the two sports are similar but also very different. Boxing analyst Max Kellerman has gone as far as to claim that Conor McGregor will not land a single punch on Mayweather during the course of their fight.
