Joe Rogan has one of the biggest platforms in the podcast industry for both fight fans and non-fight fans, but former UFC champion Conor McGregor doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of his fight commentary. During a Q&A session in Chicago, which was attended and filmed by BJPenn.com’s Mike Pendleton, McGregor was asked about potentially being a guest on Rogan’s podcast and said he’d be willing to do it but then went on to add that he wishes Rogan would call a fight the right way.

It’s obvious that Conor McGregor is not going to stop chasing a rematch with current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. It was at UFC 229 where Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by fourth-round submission to improve his perfect record and retain his title. Following the fight, members of both McGregor and Nurmagomedov’s teams were involved in a post-fight melee which resulted in suspensions for multiple fighters. As rumors swirl around McGregor’s potential return, Nurmagomedov has said he will stay on the sidelines until his teammates are eligible to return later this fall.

Yet during a weekend visit to Chicago, Conor McGregor dropped the news that he is currently in negotiations for his next fight. He didn’t specify the opponent for this next outing, but confirmed that it’s being targeted for July — most likely for the UFC’s famous International Fight Week, which usually includes the biggest fight card of the year.

Abdirzak is seeking more than $15,000 in damages, accusing Conor McGregor of battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The former UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping chimed in on his Believe You Me podcast regarding the incident and feels the fight fan is blowing things out of proportion. “Look at Kanye West outside LAX,” Bisping said. “Kanye West grabbed someone’s camera and smashed it up. He never got arrested, though. So this guy’s – I’ll just say this guy’s a bit of a f—king dick, to press charges. He’s a very, very recognizable famous person. And by the way, I’m not jumping to his defense, (I’m) just being real. He has to deal with this shit on a daily basis, it must drive him up the f—king wall. And who knows?

The Irishman is being charged with “strong-armed robbery and misdemeanor criminal mischief” following an incident that saw McGregor smashing a fan’s cell phone according to the report. The incident is believed to have happened around 5:00 AM when the fan was photographing McGregor outside of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel.
