Immediately, McGregor took aim at Mayweather for wearing platform shoes at the previous media stop in New York.

Thursday evening, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor once again found himself under fire for what many argued were racist remarks made during the third stop of he & Floyd Mayweather’s world tour promoting their August 26th fight. On Tuesday, Conor McGregor told Mayweather to “dance for me boy” during the pair’s first press conference in Los Angeles. Following the event, many began to accuse McGregor of intending for the comments to be racist. With that being said, Floyd Mayweather Sr was quick to shut down the criticism as he stated that he didn’t take McGregor’s comments as racist.

On Tuesday, the two faced off for the very first time at the first stop of the tour in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center. While many fans and pundits felt like Mayweather was the quicker man on the mic during the tour’s first stop in Los Angeles, the consensus in the wake of Toronto event is that McGregor came out on top in a big way. Over the course of the event, McGregor repeatedly lambasted his foe, even getting the crowd to shout “fuck the Mayweathers,” and throwing an Irish flag on Mayweather’s head with sharpshooter accuracy. That said, McGregor also found himself in a bit of hot water, as several pockets of the combat sports world thought his repeatedly referring to Mayweather as “boy” was veiled in racism.
