GLORY 39 Brussels and the GLORY 39 SuperFight Series is set to take place on Saturday, March 25. The premiere kickboxing league will be making its way back to the Capital of Europe after nearly five years from their sole appearance in Brussels.

Tuesday afternoon, Kickboxing legend Badr Hari was informed by the Supreme Court of the Netherlands that the court denied his appeal of his 2015 assault, and that he must return to the Netherlands to serve a two-year prison sentence, of which he is expected to serve only six months according to Fightland. Hari served 8 months of the two-year sentence after a pair of assault incidents in 2011 and 2012, with the most serious incident being an aggravated assault charge on entrepreneur Koen Everink at a music festival which saw Hari apparently shatter several bones in Everink’s ankle, as well as broken nose and a broken eye socket.

We’re now just a day away from a contest that’s being called the biggest fight in kickboxing history. This fight will pit current Glory heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven against former K-1 heavyweight champion Badr Hari. The two heavyweight stars will take center stage in the main event of Glory: Collision in Oberhausen, Germany on Saturday night.

Early Thursday morning fans began speculating as to whether Glory Kickboxing had struck a deal with ESPN after Glory 25, which takes place Friday November 6th, appeared on the ‘Watch ESPN’ app’s programming list for Friday evening. We now have confirmation via BloodyElbow that Glory officials announced a partnership with ESPN that will result in ESPN broadcasting Glory Kickboxing events in the future.

Late last month Glory Kickboxing announced that they had parted ways with Spike TV, and would no longer be airing fights on the network. There was much speculation as to what network would air Glory 25 this Friday, or if the promotion would be forced to show it on their website. News broke Thursday morning that the “Watch ESPN app” listed Glory 25 on the programming list, however no official announcement has been made.

It’s always a good day when news emerges that drug tests come back clean. All of the fighter’s from ‘Bellator MMA: Dynamite 1,’ which featured MMA bouts as well as Glory kickboxing matches, tested clean according to MMAFighting.

It was announced earlier this week that Glory kickboxing would no longer be airing fights on Spike TV. The promotion signed a deal with Spike TV back in June of 2013, and has held 18 events on Spike TV, however not all of them were promoted well.

GLORY 24 went down last night and we saw some pretty fun fights. In the heavyweight final Benjamin Adegbuyi def. Jahfarr Wilnis via split decision, while the rest of the main fights were all KO finishes! In the night’s main event we saw Joe Schilling KO Jason Wilnis in the second round, then called out the champ, Artem Levin, saying that he was duking him. Oh and he gave a shout out to #FreeNickDiaz.

Well, GLORY Kickboxing just took an interesting route when marketing their new ring girl. They took to the UG (MMA forum) and put up a thread titled, ‘huge-boobed GLORY ring girl (pic).’ In the post there was in fact a picture of their new ring girl, Alyssa Arce, and here’s what they decided to write underneath her photo.

Current Bellator MMA welterweight Paul Daley has his eye on gold, but not just MMA gold. The top 170-pound Bellator fighter is at the top of the division and has said before that he wants to win the title before a big rematch with Josh Koscheck takes place. However now he’s added a new goal and wants to fight the GLORY Kickboxing welterweight champion, Nieky ‘The Natural’ Holzken, as well. Pauly most recent scrap was in the GLORY ring, although it was as a Bellator contracted fighter during the special ‘Dynamite’ event. Now Daley wants to challenge the champ in an attempt to possibly hold a belt in both promotions. First step? Get both sides to agree on it.

Bellator MMA welterweight Paul Daley and GLORY kickboxing welterweight champion Nieky Holzken have been linked for a while. Currently, Holzken is waiting for his next challenger, which is supposed to be determined after the GLORY 25 MILAN Welterweight Contender Tournament. However, a fight between himself and Daley was rumored to be set up for the big Bellator ‘Dynamite,’ but ultimately did not happen.

Bellator MMA welterweight Paul Daley fought in the GLORY kickboxing ring this past Saturday at ‘Dynamite.’ He took on Fernando Gomez, who put up a tough fight but ultimately lost to Daley via unanimous decision. Daley is already in line for a shot at Bellator’s welterweight title but recently said he’d be more than willing to challenge for the GLORY belt as well, if the promotions let him.

In basically the only GLORY kickboxing match that actually featured GLORY kickboxers, Saulo Cavalari took on Zack Mwekassa. Cavalari seemed to be the aggressor, landing some nice kicks to start the fight. The real action started in the second round. Cavalari came out with a bunch go heavy kicks to the body and leg. At one point it looked like Zack might have gotten hurt. He also dropped him with a big head kick, but that might have been more of a slip. They continued to scrap. Towards the mid point of the round the referee stopped it and took a point from Cavalari, for holding? That was weird.

Paul Daley took on Fernando Gonzalez in a GLORY kickboxing match. Daley came out with some hard kicks, to the leg than the body. The round wasn’t too lopsided. Gonzalez held his own, but it most likely went to Daley. His kicks were hard and he seems to be the more active.

In the second GLORY kickboxing match we saw lightweights Serhiy Adamchuck and Anvar Boynazarov go to work. There was a big of a feeling out process at the start. Adamchuck landed first, then it was Anvar who landed a heavy body kick. Both of these guys were very technical. It was Anvar who seemed to be walking Adamchuck down, plotting forward. They clinched briefly a few times. Anvar’s pace was pretty slow, but he kept the pressure on.

A trilogy bout between Artem Levin and Joe Schilling will have to wait. The Glory middleweight champion, Levin, recently suffered an elbow injury in training that has forced him to pullout of his highly-anticipated fight with “Stitch ’em Up”.
