Glory kickboxing heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven has already competed once in mixed martial arts, having authored a first-round TKO of Viktor Bogutzki back in 2015. From the sounds of it, he hopes to compete in MMA again – and at the very highest level. Speaking on the latest stacked episode of BJ Penn Radio, Verhoeven shared his interested in fights with both upcoming UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou, and with UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic.

There was a lot of back and forth talk with the Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi sparring sessions, especially with their eventual fallout. After their first sparring session, Malignaggi said that McGregor’s punching power was good, but it wasn’t “Oh my god” power that he never felt before. Malignaggi stated that there were only a select few opponents and sparring partners that he felt had that sort of power and that seems to be the case with UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier as well.

We’re now just a day away from a contest that’s being called the biggest fight in kickboxing history. This fight will pit current Glory heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven against former K-1 heavyweight champion Badr Hari. The two heavyweight stars will take center stage in the main event of Glory: Collision in Oberhausen, Germany on Saturday night.
