The boxing match between undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor seems to be getting closer and closer to becoming a reality. On St. Patrick’s Day, “The Notorious” was in New York at Madison Square Garden as he walked out fellow Irishman Michael Conlan for his professional boxing debut. McGregor made a bit of time and spoke with the media, including an exclusive with the Los Angeles Times on the superfight between the two sport’s biggest stars.

Throughout the course of 2017, conflicting reports have continued to emerge regarding the status of a potential Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing superfight. While offers have been made on both sides, neither party has been able to reach an agreement. With that being said, the NSAC revealed recently that they were aware of ongoing negotiations between the two parties. This was followed up by a statement from UFC President Dana White this week, in which he stated that he was confident a fight between McGregor and Mayweather would be official, saying:

Conflicting reports have continued to emerge regarding the status of a potential Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather superfight, with UFC President Dana White, and undefeated prizefighter Floyd Mayweather denying reports of a nearly being finalized. Given this, fight fans have been left to wonder if a fight between McGregor & Mayweather will ever materialize. This week, Dana White stated in an interview that he now believed a fight between Mayweather and McGregor would happen, however according to Fox Sports’ Skip Bayless, White was merely calling Mayweather’s bluff.

Unfortunate news surfaced this week that undefeated prizefighter Floyd Mayweather’s house was targeted in Las Vegas while the iconic boxer was off in California celebrating his 40th birthday. According to TMZ, the burglars escaped with quite a few expensive purses and an expensive watch which totaled around $150,000. Unfortunately, details at the present time are rather scarce and there has been no word on whether or not any arrests have been made in connection to the robbery.
