Andy Nesbitt caught up with some fighters to get their take on the boxing matchup between the undefeated boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather and the UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.
Rising star Lando Vannata gave his humorous take saying, “Floyd May … Mayweather? Is that his name? Yeah, Floyd? Yeah? Yeah, that guy. Yeah, for sure.”
“I don’t know if he [Mayweather] would knock him out or not, but he’d definitely f**king destroy him [McGregor],” Vannata said.
Former UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson gave his take on the fight as well.
“Well, when you’ve got one guy moving to another man’s sport — that’s like me going and playing baseball or basketball. I’m going to get schooled.”
“The thing is, Conor McGregor is a very tough dude,” Thompson added. “Very tough guy. And I think he would do better than what most people would think he would do.”
Khabib Numagomedov also chimed in saying, “I think Mayweather is a different level.” Nesbitt then asked if he thinks Mayweather would beat McGregor to which the undefeated UFC lightweight said, “Boxing? Yes. Of course.”
UFC middleweight Daniel Kelly added in his opinion saying, “Because McGregor is from MMA, you have to say Conor McGregor, don’t you?”
UFC light heavyweight Paul Craig said, “I love MMA. Conor McGregor is ‘Le Grand Fromage,’ ‘The Big Cheese’ in the world of MMA but I have to go with Floyd Mayweather.”
