Khabib Nurmagomedov dazzled a lot of people with his performance over Edson Barboza at UFC 219. Although a few people including Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson were not so impressed by Nurmagomedov’s performance, UFC commentator Joe Rogan was blown away and has talked about a matchup between McGregor and Nurmagomedov as that is undeniably a very intriguing matchup in the UFC lightweight division.

Ferguson tweeted after UFC 219, “Yo @joerogan Last Time I Checked I Was The Fuckin Champ… U Trading The 10P Gear For A Hat?”

Rogan is closely affiliated with 10th Planet as a black belt and is good friends with Eddie Bravo who is the founder and a coach of Ferguson.

“Don’t get mad at me Tony. It’s just a, for instance, a possibility,” Rogan said (at 3:53 of the video above) during his JRE MMA Show #8 podcast after talking about the possibility of another big potential boxing match for McGregor against Manny Pacquiao if he could first KO Ferguson in the Octagon. “Tony got mad at me wearing the hat. ‘What, are you changing in your 10th Planet gear bro?’”

Rogan and Ferguson were referring to wearing one of the papakha hats given to him by Nurmagomedov during the post-fight Octagon interview.

“It’s a gift,” Rogan said. “And listen, just because he’s got a problem – I love Tony, but I also love Khabib. Khabib’s a bad motherf**ker. To deny that is ridiculous.”
