Mike Perry vs. Dillon Danis set to launch new MMA promotion on August 29th

Mike Perry will look to ride his Mixed Martial Arts momentum against Dillon Danis just months after defeating former UFC star Nate Diaz.
Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry and the polarizing Dillon Danis will help launch a new Mixed Martial Arts promotion later this summer.
Perry and Danis will square off in a welterweight bout at Dual Arena 1 on August 29th in Orlando. DualBet is hosting its first combat sports event under the Dual Arena banner.
Happy Punch was the first to report the news on Instagram before MMA Fighting confirmed the Perry vs. Danis matchup.
Dual Arena 1 is reportedly set to feature several ‘influencer bouts’, along with the potential for several UFC veterans on the undercard. It’s a hybrid card which will feature boxing and kickboxing matches in addition to the Perry vs. Danis MMA headliner.
Mike Perry vs. Dillon Danis announcement draws mixed reviews
This marks Perry’s second consecutive MMA appearance after defeating former UFC superstar Nate Diaz at Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano earlier this year. He handed Diaz his third career TKO loss.
Perry has made a name for himself in bare-knuckle boxing under BKFC. He parted ways with the UFC in 2021 after losses to Daniel Rodriguez and Tim Means.
As for Danis, he’ll return to MMA after winning the inaugural Misfits MMA light heavyweight title last August. He finished Warren Spencer in 15 seconds with a guillotine choke.
Fan reaction to the Perry vs. Danis bout has been mixed, with many questioning if the bout will end up coming to fruition next month. Danis has a history of withdrawing from bouts throughout his polarizing combat sports career.
The full Dual Arena 1 card is expected to be finalized and announced in the coming weeks.
