Khabib Nurmagomedov taunts newly crowned champ Eddie Alvarez

On July 7th, MMA veteran Eddie Alvarez finally got his shot at UFC gold. The former Bellator lightweight champion seized the moment, knocking out Rafael dos Anjos in the 1st round of their fight.

Now, lightweight #1 contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has taken to Twitter in an attempt to claim a lightweight title shot against the newly crowned champ.

Nurmagomedov is still undefeated in his professional career, going 23-0 in his professional career, and 7-0 inside the Octagon. After a 2 year layoff, ‘The Eagle’ returned in April and defeated Darrell Horcher via 2nd round TKO.
