Shane Mosley uses Mayweather Sr. to throw shade at Conor McGregor

By Chris Taylor - August 19, 2017

Former three weight division boxing world champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley doesn’t believe that current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has a snowballs chance in hell of defeating Floyd Mayweather on August 26 in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor

Mosley believes that a better fight to make would be having “Mystic Mac” square off with Floyd’s father, Mayweather Sr, this way McGregor would have a 50/50 shot of winning.

Mosley was recently on the Colin Cowheard show where he went off on the Irish super star.

“I can’t even come up with a scenario (where McGregor beats Mayweather). The best fight that I think is Floyd Mayweather Sr. and McGregor. He’s 64-years old. Now that’s a fight. That’s a good fight where I don’t know who’s going to win. And I slightly, I slightly pick Floyd Mayweather Sr. I slightly pick him but I don’t know who’s going to win that fight.”

That is a pretty harsh statement considering Mayweather Sr. is now 64 years old and hasn’t competed professionally since 1990.

Conor McGregor will be making his professional boxing debut when he squares off with Floyd Mayweather next weekend in Sin City.

The Mayweather vs McGregor super fight is expected to do HUGE numbers and could wind up being the biggest prize fight in combat sports history.

Conor McGregor was last seen in action at UFC 205 last November where he earned a sensational knockout victory over Eddie Alvarez to become the UFC’s lightweight champion of the world.

As for Mayweather, “Money” has not competed inside the squared circle since defeating Andre Berto in 2015.

Who do you think will win next weeeknd’s highly anticipated Mayweather vs McGregor super fight?
