Sarah Kaufman put on a striking clinic tonight in her bout against Leslie Smith. Smith was Kaufman’s third opponent of the night as the previous two were forced to pull out due to injuries. Kaufman came prepared regardless and ended up putting up some of the most impressive numbers we have seen in UFC history.

Tim Kennedy came out on top after five full rounds with temporary-rival Michael Bisping at ‘The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale’. Walking into the octagon as a two-to-one underdog, almost nobody gave Kennedy a chance to win this fight if it went to decision. Kennedy shut the doubters up with a dominant performance, but he still is not happy with the win.

Performance of the Night: KJ Noons Noons only needed thirty seconds to finish Stout and did it in amazing fashion. Stout ate a right hook and fell to the ground. Noons followed up with a brutal left and right hand which caused Stout to go out cold. When he woke up, he tried submitting the referee!

Tim Kennedy started the fight off brilliantly, but his gas tank seemed to have continuously drained throughout rounds two and five. He pressed the action right off the bat and successfully landed a takedown. He did not posture up and rain down strikes like the fans wanted him to, but his strategy was affective in getting the job done. By the end of the round, he had already transitioned from full mount to back mount and was looking to lock up a rear naked choke.

Patrick Cote impressed throughout the fight and implemented his gameplan whenever he truly concentrated on it. Patrick Cote hit a takedown in the first round and opted to stay busy in Kyle Noke’s guard. He pitter-pattered with hammerfists and caught Noke off guard with some huge elbows. Noke worked off his back, though, and tried to crash his elbows onto the top of Cote’s head. Cote ignored them and continued to work the body of Noke.

K.J. Noons just earned himself a Performance of the Night bonus. K.J. Noons cracked Stout on the chin with a right hook and he crashed to the mat. Noons finished him off with a left and right while postured over Noons and the referee dove on Noons to put a stop to the fight. Stout had no idea where he was and even tried to put the referee in a headlock; he was 100% out of it.

Sarah Kaufman was supposed to fight two other fighters before Leslie Smith became her official opponent. Shayna Baszler and Amanda Nunes both suffered injuries which led to the signing of Leslie Smith. She previously lost to Kaufman at ‘Invicta FC 5: Penne vs. Waterson’ almost exactly a year ago.

Sean O’Connell opened up the fight impressively for a four-to-one underdog and was constantly looking for a clinch, trying to take the striking game away from Ryan Jimmo. He was doing a great job at that until O’Connell drove his knee into the balls of Jimmo which allowed the action to reset back in the middle of the octagon. That was the beginning of the end for Sean O’Connell.

Nordine Taleb proved the bookies right when they labeled him as a -235 favorite. His bout with fellow “TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia” cast-mate Vik Grujic was extremely one sided. Taleb looked to be cautious in his attack in the first round, but it soon became evident that he was waiting for Grujic to attack so he could counter. Taleb cut off Grujic’s attack with jabs and kicks and went for takedowns where he dominated on the ground.
