While both men have a great case for receiving a world title shot in their own right, only one of them will be able to really call themselves the number one contender after they collide in the English capital.

Right now, Khamzat Chimaev is sat at the top of the middleweight division as the champion following his win over Dricus du Plessis. His future, however, isn’t quite as certain, with many fans speculating that he’s going to shift up to light heavyweight – which is something that ‘Borz’ himself has heavily teased.

The UFC’s new broadcast partnership with Paramount+ is underway after years at FOX Sports and ESPN. While many elements of the UFC’s broadcasts will remain similar to how they worked before, one of the longest-tenured personalities in the promotion’s history won’t be a part of the mix.

UFC star Michael ‘Venom’ Page will return to the welterweight division for his next fight at the promotion’s upcoming event in London. Michael ‘Venom’ Page earned arguably the biggest win of his UFC tenure when he outpointed former middleweight title challenger Jared Cannonier at UFC 319 last year. Despite earning the win over Cannonier and rising into the middleweight title mix, Page has allegedly had difficulties finding willing opponents, as he’s expressed in recent months.

UFC CEO Dana White and Boxing Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya’s feud doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon after the UFC head’s latest rant. UFC head Dana White and Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya were once close friends, having shared a connection to combat sports earlier in their careers. During many of De La Hoya’s biggest fights, White was often sitting ringside watching the boxing star’s many signature wins.

Justin Gaethje responded to two-time UFC rival Dustin Poirier’s recent comeback teases after the interim champ’s UFC 324 win. Justin Gaethje reclaimed the UFC interim lightweight title earlier this month at UFC 324 as he handed Paddy Pimblett his first defeat in the Octagon. Gaethje put on a throwback performance against Pimblett to earn the interim belt and a likely clash with lineal lightweight champion Ilia Topuria.

Daniel Cormier feels his pick for the greatest MMA featherweight of all time is a no brainer. Alexander Volkanovski further added to his legacy with another unanimous decision victory over Diego Lopes this past Saturday to close out UFC 325. It was the first successful title defense in Volkanovski’s second reign with the 145-pound gold. “The Great” had five successful title defense in his first run with the gold.

Once Lopes fell short in his second bid to capture the UFC Featherweight Championship against Alexander Volkanovski, the initial fear was that he may have broken both his feet. Lopes’ manager Jason House shared the first update, which painted a rough picture, but things are looking up.

Michael Morales isn’t intimidated by the aura of Islam Makhachev. Makhachev has had a dominant run under the UFC banner. He has suffered just one loss in his pro MMA career back in 2015, and he’s gone on to become an active legend in the sport. Not only did Makhachev break the record for the most successful UFC lightweight title defenses, but he’s now the reigning welterweight titleholder after dominating Jack Della Maddalena back in Nov. 2025.

For the longest time now, Mauricio Ruffy has been seen as a really fun lightweight prospect in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. However, after his loss at the hands of Benoit Saint Denis, some began to lose faith in the idea that he could get the job done over some of the division’s better fighters. On Saturday night, however, he silenced a lot of those doubters.
