Much has been made over Nate Diaz’s recent appearance on “This Past Weekend.” During the podcast appearance, the Stockton native said he didn’t want to be the first opponent for McGregor since he’s returning from an injury. Diaz did express interest in the trilogy if the “Notorious” one makes a successful return.

Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg are set to collide with interim UFC gold at stake, but one renowned analyst and coach doesn’t think it feels like a title bout. The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship has been vacated by Alex Pereira. “Poatan” will be facing Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14. Prochazka and Ulberg will do battle for the 205-pound title in the main event of UFC 327 on April 11 in Miami.

Sean Strickland will be challenging Khamzat Chimaev for the middleweight gold at UFC 328, but Colby Covington doesn’t think he stands a chance. Strickland earned an0ther 185-pound title fight after he scored a second-round TKO finish over Anthony Hernandez at UFC Houston. Chimaev, who hasn’t competed since he won the middleweight gold back in Aug. 2025, has had some social media beef with Strickland and the two will settle things on May 9 in Newark.

Ronda Rousey has been called out for lying ahead of her anticipated returned MMA. Rousey, a former bronze medalist Olympian in judo, rose to superstardom as the first ever female champion in the UFC. She ruled over the women’s bantamweight division for several years, dominating all of her early opposition, and headlining multiple successful pay-per-views. She has not fought since she suffered a quick and brutal knockout loss to Amanda Nunes in 2016, but on May 16, will make her anticipated return to action against fellow women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano.

UFC legend Nate Diaz has his next couple of MMA fights mapped out, and his plans don’t seem to include his arch rival Conor McGregor. Diaz is set to take on fellow UFC veteran “Platinum” Mike Perry in Netflix’s first MMA card on May 16. It will be his first MMA fight since he parted ways with the UFC following a win over Tony Ferguson in 2022.

As you can imagine, this led many to wonder whether or not it was time for Stylebender to contemplate retirement.

Now, Van will defend the strap against Tatsuro Taira at UFC 327.

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison days fighting at 135 lbs could be numbered as she recovers from neck surgery. Kayla Harrison was supposed to square off with former UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes in the UFC 324 co-main event, but Harrison was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury. After undergoing extensive surgery, Harrison is targeting a return to the Octagon sometime this summer, likely against the returning Nunes.

Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz used part of a rare podcast appearance to slam several of the biggest names in Mixed Martial Arts. Nate Diaz is weeks away from his highly anticipated return to Mixed Martial Arts as he prepares to face fellow UFC alum Mike Perry on the upcoming Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano card. Diaz, who parted ways with the UFC after a win at UFC 279, hasn’t fought in any respect since defeating former BMF foe Jorge Masvidal in a 2024 boxing match.
