UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett reveals how much he weighs on fight day, and it’s shocking

UFC star Paddy Pimblett cuts a lot of weight to make the 156-pound lightweight limit.
Pimblett, a former Cage Warriors champ from the United Kingdom, is now one of the top contenders in the UFC lightweight division. However, it’s never been a secret that his weight balloons far beyond the lightweight limit in between fights, largely because of his love for food.
Despite that, Pimblett has always made weight for his lightweight fights in the UFC, thanks to his rigorous training and dieting. What may surprise people is that, even though Pimblett makes weight, he rapidly gains a ton of bulk back after hitting the scale. By the time he’s in the cage, he may as well be a different person altogether.
Paddy Pimblett reveals staggering UFC fight day weight
Speaking on social media this week, Pimblett revealed that, by the time he gets in the Octagon, he typically weighs over 190 lbs. That means that he’s regaining upward of 30 lbs between weighing in and actually fighting. That is, quite frankly, insane.
🤯⚖️ Paddy Pimblett has said he weighs in at 87 kilograms (191 pounds) on fight day.
“I’m only ever 70 kilograms (155 pounds) for one or two hours. I get back into the cage at 87 kilograms (191 pounds)”

Some people may suggest this is some kind of April Fools prank from Pimblett. However, he made this admission a day before April 1, so that seems unlikely. And once again, it’s always been common knowledge that Pimblett typically lives his life way above the lightweight limit, so it’s not exactly surprising.
Pimblett last fought at UFC 324 in January, when he suffered a brutal decision loss to Justin Gaethje in a bid for the interim lightweight title. His next fight hasn’t been announced yet, but his next opponent will need to be prepared for the fact that he’s a lot heavier than the scale suggests.
