Unfortunately, he wasn’t given the chance to shine at UFC 324 in the interim lightweight title fight, and instead, Justin Gaethje took advantage of his opportunity and became the champ. Now, he’s expected to go on and face Ilia Topuria to unify the titles, perhaps at the White House this summer.

As we know, Cory Sandhagen is one of the most intriguing bantamweight contenders in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is clearly a phenomenally talented fighter, but for whatever reason, he can’t quite seem to get over the finish line and win the world title, with his latest effort coming against Merab Dvalishvili.

Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan has recalled why he decided to stop competing in combat sports. Before Rogan became a well-known entertainer and UFC broadcaster, he competed in taekwondo. Rogan rose to prominence quickly in the sport, as he won the U.S. Open Taekwondo Championship at the age of 19. He was also a four-time Massachusetts state champion.

Michael Chandler thinks critics in the aftermath of Justin Gaethje’s win over Paddy Pimblett are just being negative. Gaethje and Pimblett shared the Octagon inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for a historic show. The two headlined UFC’s first event as part of the Paramount+ deal on Jan. 24. Gaethje had a fun slugfest with “The Baddy” on his way to a unanimous decision. “The Highlight” was able to batter Pimblett throughout the course of the fight.

Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway are set to collide in the UFC 326 main event, but it won’t be the first time they clash. On Aug. 23, 2015, Oliveira and “Blessed” had a featherweight bout in Saskatoon. The fight ended abruptly just one minute and 39 seconds in. Oliveira suffered a ruptured esophagus and Holloway was awarded the TKO win.

Dricus du Plessis believes he can put forth a far better effort against Khamzat Chimaev in a rematch. Chimaev turned in a dominant performance against du Plessis back in Aug. 2025. “Borz” had nearly 22 minutes of control time on his way to a unanimous decision and the UFC middleweight title. It was a wipeout and many questioned who can give Chimaev a run for his money at 185 pounds.

Cory Sandhagen might be coming off a loss in a UFC title fight, but he still believes his name should be higher than Sean O’Malley when considering Petr Yan’s next opponent. Yan became a two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion when he turned in a stellar performance against Merab Dvalishvili at the end of 2025. “No Mercy” won the fight via unanimous decision, and many expect a trilogy fight once Yan recovers from lumbar surgery.

UFC flyweight champion Joshua Van is hearing it from one of the division’s top contenders just weeks after his UFC 323 title win. Joshua Van capped off his historic run up the UFC flyweight rankings with a title win at UFC 323 over Alexandre Pantoja. Just seconds into their fight, Pantoja suffered an injury after being taken to the canvas during a grappling exchange, forcing the referee to step in and wave off the fight.

UFC middleweights Sean Strickland and Anthony Hernandez are two of the toughest fighters in modern Mixed Martial Arts. Both fighters put on entertaining fights inside the cage, while showcasing a hard persona outside of the Octagon.

Sean Strickland believes he’s got the best shot to take the UFC Middleweight Championship from Khamzat Chimaev. Strickland may have dropped two bouts against Dricus du Plessis, but he feels he could give Chimaev some problems with his fighting style. Talking to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, Strickland said that he’d have a better chance of dethroning “Borz” than his UFC Houston opponent Anthony Hernandez (h/t MMAFighting).

A longtime UFC analyst and coach feels that Conor McGregor will finally make his return at the UFC White House event. McGregor hasn’t seen action inside the Octagon since 2021 when he broke his leg in a trilogy fight against the now retired Dustin Poirier. Returns have been teased for McGregor. The “Notorious” one was even booked for a UFC 303 showdown with Michael Chandler, but it ultimately never materialized.

Tom Aspinall’s main priority is his eye health, as he deals with a scary situation stemming from UFC 321. Back in Oct. 2025, Aspinall looked to make a successful title defense in his first bout since being recognized as the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion. His opponent was Ciryl Gane. The fight was heating up rather quickly with Gane drawing blood on the champion.
