Heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA) defeated Cain Velasquez (13-2 MMA) at UFC 188 in June at Mexico City, Mexico. Werdum is on a six fight win streak after suffering a loss to Alistair Overeem four years ago with Strikeforce at a Grand Prix quarterfinal.
