David Branch (18-3 MMA) successfully defended his World Series of Fighting middleweight title yesterday evening by defeating challenger Clifford Starks (13-3 MMA) via unanimous decision.

Branch, who currently holds both the WSOF middleweight and light heavyweight titles, used effective grappling and top control to frustrate Starks in every round on route to the decision victory.

Also on the card was a welterweight title fight between UFC veteran Jon Fitch and Joao Zeferino.

In classic Fitch-fashion, Jon was able utilize some good clinch work and takedowns to smother his WSOF 30 opponent for five rounds earning the unanimous decision victory.

The victory marked Fitch’s second in a row, and improved his WSOF record to 4-2.
