Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey shocked her fans on Tuesday after her interview on the Ellen show aired. Rousey revealed that she was so devastated after getting knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November, she had contemplated suicide.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar spoke with SportsCenter and had kind words for the former queen of the women’s bantamweight division.

Lesnar said, “Well I’m a big fan of Ronda’s and have been since the beginning. I think one think that I learned, and she should have learned a long time ago is, you have to learn how to lose before you can actually win and that was one thing my coach had taught me at a very young age because I was a bad loser.

“You’ve got to be able to get back on the horse. This life is very precious and very short and one fight isn’t going to make or break her career. She has just got to get back on the horse again and figure it out and she will.”

Regarding Rousey’s future, Lesnar said that “she can do whatever she wants to do and she’s proven that. But, I think she’s got a lot on her plate. You know, you can’t be a fighter and be in ten movies a year and she’s going to have to step back and find out what Ronda wants to do moving forward.”
