Tonight, in the main event of UFC 214, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will step into the Octagon against former light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones in a highly anticipated rematch for the 205 pound strap.
In the pair’s first meeting, Jones looked to defend his title for the eight time against his rival at UFC 182. Jones ultimately picked up a unanimous decision win over Cormier in January of 2015, however despite the UFC’s best efforts to schedule a rematch, the fight never took place.
Now, with Cormier looking to defend the title, while Jones looks to reclaim the belt he never lost inside the Octagon, sparks are guaranteed to fly when the two meet in the Octagon tonight.
Ahead of the fight, EA Sports UFC 2 ran a simulation of the fight, which you can see above.
