Rogan was in his podcast studio along with his friends Brendan Schaub, Bryan Callen, and Eddie Bravo to watch the UFC 212 fights that took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil over the weekend doing a Fight Companion episode for the Joe Rogan Experience.
In the main event of UFC 212, Jose Aldo and Max Holloway met in the center of the Octagon for a UFC featherweight title unification bout. In round one Aldo found success tagging Holloway with some clean shots. In round two, Holloway’s confidence started to grow and threw some taunts at the Brazilian champion where the two traded back and forth. Holloway turned things up in the third round winning by TKO after knocking Aldo down and following up with a relentless ground and pound attack.

Max Holloway thanked God and his team in the Octagon after winning and gave thanks to the Brazilian fans as well.
“I gotta thank Brazil,” Holloway said. “You guys showed me nothing but love over here. I understand you guys have to cheer on your fellow countrymen but at the end of the day you guys fight fans and I love you for that.”
Holloway didn’t let his moment go without campaigning for the UFC to host an event in Hawaii, where the new undisputed featherweight champion is from and trains out of.
