VIDEO | Conor McGregor may pick ‘Manny’ if boxing match with Mayweather can’t be arranged and gives a fight tip

It sounds like UFC President Dana White and Conor McGregor have agreed on some numbers for the boxing match with Floyd Mayweather.

White spoke on The Herd on Wednesday and said that if the boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor sells as well as he thinks it is going to, Mayweather will make a bit over $100 million and McGregor will make around $75 million.

It’s a huge difference compared to the UFC fight purse record of $3 million which is held by McGregor and Ronda Rousey for their respective UFC 202 and UFC 207 bouts. Although they both likely made much more than $3 million by getting a cut of pay-per-view buys, the sound of making $75 million for a single fight seems to make McGregor happy.

Although the numbers seem to sound good to McGregor, White said he still has to negotiate with Team Mayweather on the bout.

McGregor took to Instagram on Thursday and released a video giving some fight tips. “The Notorious” also revealed some interesting information in his caption that read the following:

“Here is a reply video I sent one of my protégés who was seeking advice on some boxing only pad work footage they sent me. I believe you will like it. The focus has been solely boxing lately but make no mistakes, the kicking and grappling aspects, and everything else got to do with unlimited free fighting, is still very much present in my thoughts. Floyd may crap his jocks after all and if so I will go back to true fighting or just pick another boxer like manny or something. But whatever that’s another conversation.

“I like to build fighters and watch their progression. I have built many to this date, and all unintentionally. One is fighting in the UFC main event this weekend.

“When my son is born I will build him up into a multiple free fighting world champion also. Just like his old man. I look forward to it.”
