Saturday in London, Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping fought for 5 rounds to a decision.
Ultimately, the judges scored the bout in favor of Bisping, giving him the unanimous decision win over Silva in front of the London fans.
Despite an impressive 5 round scrap, it’s the end of the 3rd round that has everyone talking. Bisping lost his mouthpiece, and Herb Dean picked it up. During a brief break in the action Bisping looked to Dean to get it back. Before Dean could step in Silva landed a flying knee that dropped Bisping just as the bell signaled the end of the round.
As members of both camps as well as the commission flooded the Octagon, Dean took control of the situation, informing everyone that he had not stopped the bout, and the fight was going to the 4th round.
Above, you can see the reaction from Anderson Silva’s family as they celebrate, thinking he won via 3rd round KO.
